Program Overview
This virtual Summit brings together leading experts across multiple disciplines to advance practical knowledge in recognizing, monitoring, and managing amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA) in patients with Alzheimer’s disease receiving anti-amyloid therapies (AATs). Through case-based discussion, evidence-driven updates, and multidisciplinary perspectives, the program focuses on improving confidence in ARIA identification, optimizing collaborative workflows across care settings, and strengthening patient-centered communication and shared decision-making to support safe and effective treatment.
Target Audience
This activity is tailored to meet the educational needs of neurologists, psychiatrists – including geriatric psychiatrists, radiologists, neuroradiologists, primary care physicians, emergency physicians, and infusion/triage nurses.
Learning Objectives
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Summarize the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and classification of ARIA (including ARIA-E and ARIA-H) in patients receiving AATs for AD
- Evaluate guidelines for ARIA monitoring based on signs, symptoms, and imaging findings in patients receiving AATs for AD
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers about individual ARIA risk factors, benefits of AATs, and individualized risk mitigation strategies through SDM principles
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (including emergency medicine, radiology, and nursing staff) to ensure coordinated ARIA monitoring, recognition, and management across care settings for patients with AD receiving AATs
